November consumer confidence fell as consumers fretted about jobs and finances, possibly due to the government shutdown.

Tuesday’s Conference Board consumer confidence index fell to 88.7 from an upwardly revised 95.5 in October.  expected the measure to fall to 93.4 from 94.6 in October.
