Dutch state-owned financing organization Invest International announced a $60 million loan to chipmaker Nexperia for global production site investments.
Funding is intended to increase output, modernize production lines, and raise efficiency.
Dutch state involvement last year established a European management team at Nexperia, a unit of China’s Wingtech, causing a corporate standoff between Europe and China.
The issue affected global automotive chip supplies and spooked investors, according to Dutch daily FD.
A spokeswoman from FD reported ongoing financial negotiations for Nexperia. Nexperia isn’t in grave straits, but any financing that preserves our reserves for other initiatives is welcome
