Argentina’s President-elect Javier Milei has declared the closure of the central bank as a non-negotiable matter, a move that reflects his moderate cabinet.

He has also announced that economist Osvaldo Giordano will manage Argentina’s social security administration, ANSES, due to his promise to cut state spending and subsidies.

Milei’s reforms will take time to implement.
