China’s will need more time to recovery from deflation

China’s economic recovery is fragile in 2023, with expecting consumer prices to fall into deflation in October.

Weak consumer expenses have persisted this year, and a second decrease may contradict the People’s Bank of China’s August prediction.

The GDP deflator, the nation’s broadest pricing metric, is expected to be negative in the final three months of the year.

Expectations are mounting that the central bank will decrease the reserve requirement ratio to bolster liquidity before its monthly policy loan operations in mid-November.
